synopsis

Brief outline of the game The ‘Mega Cat Studios’ Collection 1 cartridge brings 10 original ‘retro style’ games to the Evercade, including fan favourites ‘Log Jammers’ and ‘Coffee Crisis’. Content specific issues The most pertinent content can be seen in the game “Coffee Crisis” which contains frequent depictions of non-realistic violence towards human-like characters. Bright lights and some mild blood effects appear on impact of attacks. The exaggerated sounds of punches and grunts can be heard throughout. When a character is attacked they briefly stagger before continuing in the fight. When a character has been defeated, they fall to the floor where their bodies quickly vanish. All the violence takes place in a 2D environment where the characters are shown from a distance. This game contains infrequent use of mild bad language. The word “pricks” is found in the dialogue.
