Star Ocean: The Divine Force is the next installment in the Star Ocean series. The game features a story that blends sci-fi and fantasy, a rich lineup of characters and side stories, a battle system delivering exhilarating combat with easy controls, and more. The “Double Hero” system returns in which the story spanning the stars and beyond will unfold from the perspective of each protagonist, one from an advanced civilization (sci-fi) and the other from an underdeveloped planet (fantasy). Events that unfold throughout the story as well as the ally characters you end up with will differ based on the protagonist the player chooses.

This game has received a PEGI 12 because it features moderate violence and use of bad language. Not suitable for persons under 12 years of age. This game features frequent non-realistic looking violence involving human-like and fantasy characters. Violence is generally inflicted using bladed weapons or firearms. Impacts result in the appearance of bright lights and particle effects, with numbers indicating the level of damage. Characters react unrealistically to the violence, simply stumbling backwards. When characters are defeated, they fall to the floor and fade away. The game also includes use of bad language, including ‘bastard’, ‘assholes’, ‘shit’ and ‘bitch’. This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of cosmetic DLCs, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
