Tales of Arise

On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena--the planet in the sky--as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.

Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. synopsis

This game contains frequent depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. Bright lights and magical effects appear when characters are struck. Characters let out cries of pain and stumble but show no visible injuries. When they have been defeated, their bodies immediately fade away from the battlefield. Violence can be inflicted using a mixture of firearms, bladed and blunt weapons, and magic. Regardless of the type of weapon used, the reaction to the violence always remains the same. The game also contains infrequent use of bad language ('bastard').
